In my house we made lots of appetizers/smaller courses for NYE, and OF COURSE…each course had an accompanying drink:
Caprese salad (tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil, drizzled with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt), french baguette, salami, and grappa!!
Bean and corn salsa: black beans, frozen corn, canned diced tomatoes (didn’t have enough fresh ones on hand), chopped green peppers, fresh cilantro, onions, cumin, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, red vinegar, and fresh squeezed lemon and lime…with tequila!!
Black eyed pea soup for good luck!!
Pork tenderloin with red wine!!
Overall, I’d say it was a successful menu 🙂
